Before Jesus left this earth and went to heaven, He commissioned His disciples to carry on His work. He also promised them that He would be with them always.
Jesus’ commission and promise are for His followers today also. How wonderful to know that Jesus is always with us. We don’t have to struggle to carry on His work by ourselves. We don’t have to feel like it all depends entirely on us. He wants to help and empower us. We don’t have to feel lonely, because Jesus is with us as our Companion and Guide. He will walk with us day by day, moment by moment. Jesus is with us in our hard times and wilderness experiences even though we don’t always feel His presence. Jesus promises, ” I will never leave you, nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13: 5).
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for Your presence with me always. Help me to let You be all that You want to be and do for me.
